AC Ford AC810 Lanterns

AC Ford's AC810 was (and still is) incredibly rare throughout the UK. The lantern is side-entry, and with it's small size it never had room for a gear. GLS and MBF/U versions were produced, with the GLS versions not requiring a gear. Earlier versions had glass bowls, but later versions had a form of acrylic, which didn't take too kindly to the MBF/U lamps.


Lichfield Cathedral 

The AC Ford AC810 lantern is an exceptionally rare lantern which I only know of to exist (at least near me) in Lichfield. This one is on a decorative wall bracket just opposite Lichfield Cathedral, running an LED GLS lamp, although it would have had a tungsten filament lamp in it originally. The lantern does have a mini-cell fitted but it isn't visible here.
