Atlas Gamma 6 Lantern Installations

A shockingly-close twin to the AC Ford AC762, the Atlas Gamma 6 was a rather-obscure post-top lantern. They could run 60W-200W GLS, 26W SOX-E, 35W SOX, 45W-60W SO-H or 80W-125W MBF-U, and were always remote geared. The canopy was made from diecast aluminium and the bowl from opal polycarbonate.

Lichfield

Here, they are used in garage areas in Lichfield, a small city with many old streetlights to be seen! These examples exist around Smithfield Rise. The first one appears to have tape around the base of it's bowl, maybe as a repair to a crack formed from the bottom of the bowl. If a crack did form from the base and spread upwards, the bowl could potentially fall to one side.

A Zodion two-part photocell detector can be seen poking out of the top canopy of the lanterns.
