GEC Z9564 Lantern Installations

The GEC Z9564 is the 180W SOX version of the GEC Z9554. Consequently, the lantern is longer in appearance when compared to the Z9554 & Z9554M. It's length is 123cm.

Tamworth Town Centre

Three excellent examples exist on the roundabout connecting the B5493 to the A51 in Tamworth Town Centre. I am yet to photograph two, though it may be in my best interests with the replacement schemes! Presumably, this roundabout would have had a full-set of GEC Z9564s however these seem to have been replaced over time with Thorn Civic 2s and Urbis ZX2s. These all currently work, running their 180W SOX lamps throughout the night.
