Holophane Grosvenor Lantern Installations

The Holophane Grosvenor was a recognisable post-top lantern, often running SON, MBF, and metal halide lamps, but retrofitted LED cob lamps were even more commonly used in them. They could be found in parks, car parks and other communal areas.

Lining the pathways around Sir Robert Peel Communal Hospital are several Holophane Grosvenors running LED cob lamps, but originally likely ran SON. The first example was photographed on a footpath running adjacent to the south car park.

The second lantern on the pathway was not-so obscured.

I also snapped a few photographs of the third column on the path.

The pathway to the east of the car park is also lit by Grosvenors.
