Philips SGS253 Lantern Installations
The Philips SGS253 is the slightly smaller version of the SGS252. This lantern is designed for use on minor roads and streets. They most commonly run SON or CDO-TT lamps. The Philips SGS252/253/451 all go by the name "Iridium".

An example of a Philips SGS253, this one running a metal halide lamp. It is mounted at 6m and located in a new housing estate in Borough Park, Tamworth.

New housing estates seem to love using the Philips SGS253 as a CDO lantern among the LEDs. Yet another housing estate supports several SGS253s running what I believe are 70W SON lamps. I'd imagine that creates quite the contrast among the LEDs at night!
