RAB WPTS70 Lantern Installations
The RAB WPTS70 is a tiny little bulkhead lantern, designed for use with 70W SON-I (HPS) lamps. It's amazing how that can fit in such a small fixture! The small size means only internal ignitor lamps can be fitted, as there's no room in the fixture for an ignitor. Due to their small size, they can suffer from the bowl burning. A 50W SON version was also produced (the WPTS50).

This one is located outside of the Ankerside Apartments, Tamworth.
It looks to have been in service for quite a while! The heat from the lamp has stained and weakened the bowl, leading to cracks forming. The circle that's visible to the top left of the lantern is actually the built in photocell! This installation no longer works, and hasn't for several years.
