Thorn Piazza II Lantern Installations

Also known as the Piazza 2 Mk.1, this luminaire was sold previously for HID lamps such as high-pressure sodium or metal halide, and CFL lamps much like my own Piazza II. They feature a distinctive hemicylindrical shape and prismatic polycarbonate diffuser. They were not seen as commonly as the Piazza here in the UK, but are nowadays sold with a completely different design to accommodate LEDs (documented separately).

Crewe

The Piazza II is oddly common around Crewe. This particular example runs what looks to be 70W SON-E, located on a Unipart Rail building along Gresty Road.

At the back of Crewe Engineering and Design UTC's Car Park is a small locked-off area for storing bikes. It is lit with Piazza IIs which look to run CFL lamps.
