WRTL Stela Square Lantern Installations

The WRTL Stela series of lanterns is one of the most distinctive lantern groups about. They were sold by WRTL until they went out of business, and the design was sold to Philips who still make the GEN2 (BPP614) version today. The Stela Square is for post-top mounting only.

Birmingham

This Stela Square is tasked with lighting a short section of footpath between two pedestrian crossings on the A47. It's situated on a 5m Abacus base-hinged column.

The lantern is equipped with 18 LEDs.

Tamworth

Unfortunately they don't appear too often in Tamworth, but I know Birmingham has a fair few. These are located on a new housing estate near Amington, Tamworth.
