DW Windsor Warwick Lantern Installations

Tamworth Town Centre

DW Windsor Warwick lanterns are littered about Tamworth Town Centre running 50W, 70W and 100W SON, many are damaged and/or not working, like this example, which has been hit by a truck, knocking loose some of the lanterns canopies and bowls, leaving them to become water damaged over the past 3 months. Only the lantern on the far right still works and is intact.

Sometime in December 2023, these lanterns were repaired, the two broken ones now work but the one that was left intact by the collision no longer does.

Here, these 70W SON examples can be seen on triple arm brackets lighting up the town centre at night. They are mounted at 5m.

The same area in the day, where we can see one of the lanterns is day-burning

The day-burning SON lamp allows us to see the photocell's wiring inside the lantern, the photocell is a mini-cell made by Zodion

More of these lanterns exist on George Street, running 70W SON, pictured on a rainy Christmas day.
