Urbis Altra 3 Lantern Installations

The Urbis Altra 3 is the 55W PL-L version of the Urbis Altra 2, featuring a longer lamp-compartment to accommodate the longer lamp. The canopy is aluminium in construction, with a polycarbonate bowl. The metal clips snap shut to provide a sturdy bowl support. The Altra 3 was commonly used as a replacement street lantern around the Staffordshire area.

Wilnecote, Tamworth

It is, however, used as a replacement lantern sometimes, much like this example. It replaced a fallen Advanced LEDs Clipper lantern.

Amington, Tamworth

Several more Altra 3s can be seen in Amington, Tamworth, lighting the footpaths. This one is located near Woodhouse Lane on a 5m concrete Stanton and Staveley 1405 column.

The lantern is in good condition overall.
