This is my CU Phosco P567-A, the "-A" standing for aluminium. The P567-A was quite common throughout the UK, being an icon in it's own right! The P567-A differs from the P567 with the aluminium canopy, and the inclusion of a post-top spigot. This one is in incredible condition, and could be mistaken for an NOS lantern despite it's years of service.
On top is a NEMA socket with a Zodion SS6 photocell installed. The photocell is dated to 2010, five years older than the rest of the lantern.
The lantern appears quite narrow due to it's length.
The lantern can be mounted both post-top and side-entry; this example was post-top when in service.
Another Phosco logo is located in the centre of the bowl.
A sturdy aluminium clip is present at the lantern's front-end. This clip opens the bowl, which grants access to both the lamp and gear compartments.
A 70W SON-T lamp is installed. With the size of the optic, this lamp does look quite stubby, made-worse by the slight inset of the lamp into the gear-area.
The ignitor possesses a 31/07/2015 date.
It's worth noting the incredible condition of the gear in this example. Being only nine years old, the lantern hasn't had much of an opportunity to age.
