DW Windsor Warwicks were quite a common heritage lantern (and still are to an extent). I was thrilled to receive one into my collection, made even better by the fact this was my 100th lantern! The lantern shows some signs of age, but is otherwise in good condition - and working order.

On the bowl is a number 100, using column numbering stickers to immortalise it's position in the collection:

As with all of DW Windsor's heritage lanterns, the name of the company is riveted onto the canopy using a plaque.

A Royce Thompson P12HE minicell is installed in the canopy of this example.

The finial on top can be unscrewed to gain access to the internals.

The cell has been bypassed due to it being faulty, but it does support a May 2005 date-code.

The internal structure of the lantern is similar to many post-tops, featuring two metal rods which support the dome-refractor and top canopy.

The gear is crammed into the lanterns base. Being a SON-I lantern, there is no ignitor here.
