This is my Holophane S-Line, received NOS from a lighting store. This one is 14W and runs off a Philips Configurable Constant Current LED Driver. It came with both a post-top and side-entry spigot.
The cell-socket on these lanterns is offset to the side, and some of the bigger cells (especially node cells) can overhang the edge of the lantern. Mine is fitted with an Acrospire-N10031 cell for 20 LUX (1:1).
From underneath, the more-recognisable and simple shape of the lantern is apparent. In regards to LEDs, this lantern is one of the better lookers!
A closer view of the LED panel.
Although backwards from the outside, a February 2023 date compass is visible.
Access to the gear is achieved by unscrewing a bolt on the top of the lantern. From there, the door is hinged and can be opened with ease. Immediately, the most-apparent object inside is the driver.
A hand-written "P" (presumably standing for "passed") is written in permanent marker on the driver.
A June 2023 date compass is etched into the lantern's body on the inside.
As this lantern was NOS, nothing needed to be done to it, not even a clean! With that, the lantern was wired up and powered on...
