While it's not quite as long as the integral-geared version, the MA50 remote is still a large lantern! Running 135W SOX, all that length is required for the lantern to host such a large lamp. This lantern shares the same canopy as the integral-geared MA90 for 90W SOX.
A factory-fitted NEMA socket is present towards the back of the lantern. Two of the four screws would not budge when preparing the lantern for cleaning, so the area had to be avoided.
The Zodion SS6 photocell is dated to July of 2012.
Four clips (two of which act as hinges) can be unlocked to remove the bowl. Inside there isn't much to be seen, aside from the: ID sticker, inspection sticker, lamp holder and support, and photocell wiring.
A 1998 date-code is present on the bowl, likely close to the manufacture date for the rest of the lantern.
