These lanterns were previously sold as the Phosco P223, but this one is a later Philips-made one. It has sustained some damage during it's years in situ, and possibly during removal and storage. It has been fitted with a new Zodion SS55 photocell as the previous one was missing.
A large washer was used to make the pre-drilled hole small enough to fit a two-part cell into. Previously, it may have had a minicell installed.
The most severe bit of damage to the lantern is the missing bowl clip, the bowl cannot hold itself closed.
Inside the lantern is nothing but the lamp-holder, lamp, ID sticker and photocell.
