This lantern was a purchase from eBay; it isn't in very good condition. It was used as a security light (evident by the SXK 36-E tag and not MI80) and has a section of bracket stuck in the spigot. The lantern's gear was also waterlogged, so most of it had to be removed.
Despite having an NEMA socket, the lantern was likely manually-switched. The socket is plugged up with foam and has some degraded sealant around it, likely the cause of the water-intake problem.
The raised bump in the centre of the canopy is where a top-entry spigot would have been in the event this one had become a top-entry lantern. That didn't happen, and it was given a side-entry spigot and made into a Kombipak.
The section of bracket inside the spigot is heavily rusted, looks like it has been a while since it was removed!
The gear-tray looks aged, but is in acceptable condition overall.
The ignitor was checked for water damage, but looks ok. The capacitor was destroyed but I saved the outer shell which will remain in the lantern, as it has the only date-code in the lantern (July 1984). I reconstructed the writing on the capacitor as it had mostly washed off during the lantern's years as a water reservoir.
