This lantern is the second Urbis Altra 2 that I own. It's nearly identical to my other Altra 2, running a 36W PL-L compact fluorescent lamp. The only main difference is the different date codes.
This lantern came with some graffiti on the top of it, leading to a few possibilities: Someone climbed the lamppost to do this, It was near a window or bridge, it had fallen over or the least likely: the workers did this for some reason... Yeah I don't buy that...
Looks like the lantern came from Leeds... the graffiti actually helped!
A view of the lantern's back compartment after rewiring it and installing a new choc-block connector as the other was rusted and seized. The lantern also came with about 6 to 7 metres of cable!
The ballast is the same as my other lantern: a HF-P 136 PLL EII 220-240 Electronic Ballast.
The lantern is dated around 2006 throughout, making it only slightly younger than my other Urbis Altra 2.
On the 29/02/2024, the lantern was disassembled for a thorough cleaning.
