These lanterns were available for 100W-400W SON/MH, with this one running 150W SON-T on an electronic driver. It was a purchase from eBay, and is one of the largest lanterns in the collection. This example was side-entry mounted while it was in service, but it's original location is not known. This example features a rather-scuffed deep polycarbonate bowl.
Neither of the grub-screws are seized, and are fixed into a metal plate inside the spigot.
Much like it's smaller sister lantern (the Sapphire 1) the canopy is held shut via a clip on the side of the lantern.
...But unlike the Sapphire 1, the Sapphire 2 is significantly larger (especially longer).
A position is included for a NEMA socket, and in this case, the lantern was fitted with one.
Pinching the clip together releases the canopy which is hinged at the opposite side of the lantern. It locks in place when opened via a strut inside. This is to prevent the canopy slamming shut on someone's fingers.
