Philips CDS506 Lantern Installations

Tamworth Town Centre

The Philips CDS506 used to populate the town centre in great numbers here in Tamworth, yet owing to LED replacement schemes, only 4 examples are left. Located outside St. Editha's Church, these CDS506s run 150W CDO-TT and 150W SON lamps, which can be seen in action with this day-burning lantern.

I also took a picture of this example on a single-arm column. This was replaced in January of 2024. The column was moved across the road and an OrangeTEK Citisun was installed as a replacement for the sodium CDS506.
