A511, Burton-upon-Trent

Hidden in some shrubbery along the A511 (where the A511 meets Hawkins Lane) is this 5m steel column supporting a very rare Thorn Gamma 2 lantern. The lantern probably lit the perimeter of the site previously, maybe with other Gamma 2s. The lantern no-longer works, having been disconnected; it's usually only visible during the winter season due to it's odd-position.

Even knowing where this one was, it still took me a while to find it.
