Bergo 2202C Lantern Installations

The Bergo 2202C was a mildly-rare vandal-resistant subway fixture. It could be mounted in the roof (2202), along the corners (2202C) or in/on the wall (2402B), running two 20W or 40W fluorescent lamps. The 40W fluorescent lamps would turn it from a 2202 to a 2402.

SnowDome, Tamworth

These Bergo 2202Cs were spotted on the 29th May 2024 in an underpass near the SnowDome, Tamworth. They lack the optional protective grate across the lens, but much like the 2202s seen here, they each run two 18W Philips Master TL-D lamps. The feeder-box is apparent towards the bottom of the below image.

Lantern 4TC47 was pictured first.

Followed shortly after by lantern 4TC45. If you look towards the bottom of the lens, a significant-amount of moss has grown in the lamp area, kept warm by the ever-burning 18W lamps.

Lantern 4TC44:

Lantern 4TC43, which is in a similar situation to 4TC45, but considerably grubbier!
