Thorn Gamma Modern Lantern Installations

The Thorn Gamma Modern was a post-top amenity lantern in the Gamma range. Lamp types the lantern used were: 70W or 100W SON-T, 70W or 100W SON-E, 80W or 125W MBF, 70W CDM-TT and 42W TC-TEL. The lantern could come with opal or clear acrylic bowls, with the rest of the lantern being of aluminium construction.

Foxton Close, Tamworth

This example of the Gamma Modern was spotted on a walk down the canal at 9.45 on a sunny July morning. After looking on maps, I found it to be located on Foxton Close, along with at-least one other Gamma Modern.

A closer view showcases the lantern is internally almost-identical the the Thorn Gamma Basique, they even use the same base! What's also on display through the clear bowl is an LED cob lamp.
